A disciple learns what Jesus said and lives out what Jesus did. Our discipleship vision is to see a God-sized movement of simple obedience in Ashe County, loving what Jesus loves and doing what Jesus does.
At AppChurch we define discipleship as intentionally equipping believers with the Word of God through accountable relationships empowered by the Holy Spirit in order to replicate faithful followers of Christ.

Our church discipleship pathway to move disciples from one stage of growth to the next is broad enough to include everyone, but specific enough to meet each spiritual generation where they are. The end goal is growth that will result in mature, relationally connected disciples.aa
AppGroups
An AppGroup is the starting point for relationships, spiritual growth, and service both inside and outside the church. AppGroups can take place on our Wednesday night ReFuel which is the hub for our Student Ministries where teaching, equipping and fellowship take place, or and AppGroup can take place any other day of week, weekly, bi weekly or monthly. For more information about our current AppGroups, see all the groups meeting at this time below.
D-Groups
Deeper Groups are designed to help people intentionally grow spiritually, develop accountability, and make disciples. D-Groups are usually gender-specific groups of 2–3 people who meet anytime or anywhere regularly for 9-12 months. D-Groups spend time in prayer, studying the Bible, and encouraging each other to grow in spiritual maturity, serve in missional ministry and reproduce as disciple makers.
